what I am in pursuit of is the truth. it's not some high falluting esoteric word. it is quite tangible. do you know that moment when a person pushes himself to the limit, that it is already pure genius. that for me is truth. i see it all the time in movies, sometimes in sports, books, magazine articles. it is life at full extension. the glory of god is man fully alive. and for me that is the meaning of life. at least as far as we can prove. universal transendence? bah. universal love is good enough for me. Jesus Christ said we are already all saved. And so what else is there to worry about. Now you just have to choose your path. I have found love. Now I have to find glory. But I won't really call it glory, i'll call it life fully alive.

but Rene Cayetano passed away today.

I don't think this was a great loss for the Philippines. He did not live his life trying to make this country a better place. He reminds me of Estelito Mendoza and Frank Drilon. The former, well he defended Erap, Yak. The latter, well he hasn't made any real contribution yet to this country. Though all the the senators who voted for the opening of the envelope we're heroes, and all those who voted against it, are scum, fucking scum. words can not express how much I hate those who voted against the opening of the envelope.

anyway, someone like Companero Cayetano probably voted for the opening of the envelope, coz he knew it would get him in good with the Gloria government. Maybe good does prevail in the country after all, whether it was for self-interest or not. it's nice to know that some politicians still know that siding with the common good, is still in their best personal interest.
